Farm-To-Table Activism Dinner

Food. Farms. Community. Action. With you at the table.

Delicious. Breathtaking. Movement-Building.

Pull up a chair. You are invited to a breathtaking evening of experiencing the best of humane, sustainable, local food while taking grassroots action to push our food system forward.

Our intimate events bring our guests together for a curated multi-course meal sourced from local small farms and wild, foraged ingredients. Experience, savor and be inspired by expertly prepared humane, sustainable, seasonal food and flavors.

We team up with incredible, regenerative farms in Minnesota and Wisconsin to highlight ethical food raised from the best practices for animal welfare, soil health, climate, and local economies.

But this meal is more than eating delicious local food. Together, led by Greener Pastures, guests at the table take guided action on meaningful food policy issues.

Throughout each course of the meal, guests learn from a local farmer, a food system reform organizer and advocate, and are led through grassroots actions right at the dinner table. Together, we help raise our voices and contribute toward the movement away from factory farming and towards humane, sustainable, just food and farms.

Stay tuned for our 2024 farm-to-table Activism dinner season!

As the days become cooler, the crisp scent of the leaves fills the air and the bounty of fall harvests have arrived. Fall in Minnesota is a magical season, filled with sun-kissed harvests straight from the farm.

We've carefully curated a menu of seasonal dishes, featuring the freshest ingredients sourced from local, sustainable farms & producers that intertwine education, meaningful discussion points, and opportunities for taking action to build a better food system.

We believe that every meal is an opportunity to make a positive impact. Together, this fall, we will take action to support protections for small farms in the federal Farm Bill. As you savor each bite and sip, you'll learn from organizers, farmers, and community leaders about how we can help sustainable, local farms survive and thrive.

As you savor each bite and sip, you'll be immersed in the many ways that our communities and environment are tied together. You'll connect with the people and stories behind the food, and leave with a deeper appreciation for the bounty of the land and the hard work that goes into bringing it to your plate.

It takes a village to make our Farm-to-Table Activism Dinners possible and accessible to our community.

We look forward to introducing you to Far North Spirits, America's only certified Bee Friendly Farm distillery. Located near the tiny rural farming community of Hallock, MN, Far North believes that drinking is an agricultural act.

We are excited to feature DryWit, who believes what’s in the glass is as important as what’s on the plate, and that they should elevate each other. DryWit makes non-alcoholic drinks for the wine occasion with a mission to make hospitality a more inclusive and considered space.

Together, let’s sow seeds for a more sustainable food system while making memories that will last a lifetime.

20 seats per dinner | Guests must be 21+ | Prix fixe menu + beverage pairings

Lou Wirtanen- Farm-to-Table Program Manager

Growing up in the wilderness of rural Alaska, Lou built a reverence for nature early in life. Often, staple foods were not easily accessible or were very expensive, so her family fished often, made an effort to purchase from local producers and grew what they could in their family garden. This love of gardening has stayed with her throughout her life. Now living in South Minneapolis, she grows a regenerative food forest in her backyard and throws dinner parties for friends and family alike. She is looking forward to connecting with you at the next Farm-to-Table Activism Dinner!
